October 2005: During the weekend
of October 15th we held a "Garage Sale Fundraiser" to benefit the Hurricane Katrina victims through Save the Children.
Donated household items such as toys, clothes and baby items were sold at the garage sale. We raised $116.00 and all
the proceeds were donated to Save the Children - Hurricane Katrina Fund for Children.
Items that were not sold at the garage sale were donated as follows:

December 2005: For our holiday service project we
participated in Councilwoman Melinda Katz's Fourth Annual Toy Drive. Our members donated new, unwrapped toys and
we brought them to Councilwoman Katz's office in Forest Hills where she later donated them to Ronald McDonald House and Elmhurst Hospital Pediatric Ward.
August 2006: On Saturday, August 12, 2006,
our chapter participated in the 2006 Forest Hills Community Food Drive in support of the Interfaith Hunger Network of
Queens. Members dropped off food items at the club's designated location and
then volunteers from the MOMS Club brought the donations to one of the designated Food Drive drop off points.
December 2006: Our Knitting and Crochet Club spearheaded
our holiday service project. Our members knitted and crocheted over 200 items for the chairty "Newborns in Need", we
also donated much need baby items such as clothes and blankets for the charity!
